HISTORY

The company "Evrotek" was founded in 1995 in the city of Kyiv. At the beginning of its activity the enterprise was engaged in supplying fuel to agricultural producers, corn and sunflower seeds markets.

During 1998-2000, ZAO “Evrotek” buys a number of production facilities and forms the “Evrotek” Group of Companies, which includes 2 oil-extracting factory, 13 grain storage and processing enterprises and a bread-baking plant

In 2003, the Company set about the production of refined oil in a PET bottle under the trademark "Stozhar", which in 2005 ranked third among the Ukrainian trademarks of vegetable oil.

At the end of 2006, the shareholders decided to sell their operational assets and to invest money in the retail market that has been dynamically developing. "Evrotek" engages retail professionals to its team and creates a retail network.

October 24, 2007 in the city of Kerch the Company opens its first supermarket "Fresh", with the sales area of 2400 square meters.

In 2008 the company opens 9 supermarkets more.


At the end of 2008, aiming to the further development, the shareholders of the company came in International Finance Corporation and Horizon Capital. Having strengthened its financial position and despite the economic crisis, the Company decided to expand its activities in new regions. To this end, in 2009, it acquired a retail business chain operating under the trade marks “Soyuz”, “Kvartal” (located in the northern and central parts of Ukraine), as well as “Arsen” in the Western region. Thus, the company decisively goes to the goal of becoming a national company, represented in most regions of the country.

Today the Group of Companies “Eurotek” is:

  • Multi-format retail chain,
  • More than 3300 employees,
  • 58 stores located in 6 administrative centers of Ukraine.
